EFR (or equivalent) training within the past 24 months

Medical Statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months

It is highly reccommended that once you reach professional levels of training that you have your own gear. In addition to basic scuba equipment, the PADI dive professional also needs;

2 surface signalling devices (one audible and one visual)
Knife or cutting tool (except where prohibited by law)
Compass
Time monitoring device
