Adventure dives help you increase your confidence and build your SCUBA skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. This course builds on what you’ve learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun SCUBA diving.
5 Adventure dies make up the Advanced Open Water Diver course (providing the mandatory adventure dives of deep and underwater navigation are completed).
Whether you are already an Advanced Open Water Diver, and just want to experience more types of diving, or you are working your way to Advanced one adventure dive at a time. This is your chance to focus on the areas of diving you’re interested in learning more about, such as wreck diving or underwater photography.
To enroll in the PADI Advanced Open Water course or Junior Advanced Open Water course, you must be;
Beyond using basic scuba equipment, you’ll need a compass and dive knife or dive tool. You’ll also use specialized gear depending on the Adventure Dives you choose. For example, you’d obviously use a dry suit for the Dry Suit Adventure Dive or a sidemount configuration during the Sidemount Adventure Dive. Your PADI Instructor will explain the equipment that you need and may suggest additional gear, such as dive light for night diving or lift bag for search and recovery diving.
Equipment rental is not included in the price of the course, because we have found many students have started to purchase their own equipment. However, we do have rental packages available for the weekend that include all necessary equipment.
